We are so happy that two of our Board members, Nejah Abdulsamed and Dr. Abduselam Barre, were able to spend the holiday of Mawlid with our children! For this special occasion, Nejah and Dr. Barre took all the children out for lunch and were able to spend the afternoon with them playing activities.
Great news!
Three of our students have passed their 8th grade national exams! Two of our kids, Bethlehem and Amir have scored above a 90% on their exam. We are extremely proud of all of our kids and wish them all the best in their school work!
Eid Mubarak to all who celebrate! Today marks a joyous holiday where we celebrate with all of our kids by enjoying food, music, dance, and quality time together. New Hope is now home to seventeen children, ranging in age from 6-18 years old. Our youngest, Helen, is making progress in language development and her social growth is amazing. Our eldest, Idris, is now in private school and adapting to his new learning environment. The children are overall doing well in school, several of them ranking in the top 3 of their class.
See our newly brightened wall in our common room where our kids and volunteers have decorated the walls with their favorite colors and have placed their handprints to decorate their home!
